This list of databases was maintained by Steve Hayes to help
those involved in mission studies know who is collecting what
information about what and whom.

different databases in this project: (1)
African Christian denominations, (2) biographies of
African Christian leaders, (3) Register of AIC researchers
(4) miscellaneous information relating to African
initiatives in mission. I will send reports from these
databases in response to e-mail requests for searches free
of charge - just e-mail me with a description of what you
are looking for. Contributions to the databases are also
welcome - ask me for formats first. Completed biographies
in the leaders database are published in the Dictionary of
African Christian Biography. |

DACB atabase contains essential biographical facts of African Christian
leaders, evangelists and lay workers responsible for laying the foundations
and advancing the growth of Christian communities in Africa.
It now has more than 1200 subject
entries, with scores of entries in the wings awaiting
processing and uploading.
We have also identified more than
3100 potential subjects on whom stories
need to be written, and in some cases
are being researched and written.
Can be accessed via the web and, at present, new information should be sent to
the Project Director Dr J Bonk.
