IAMS is an international inter-confessional and interdisciplinary professional society for the
scholarly study of Christian witness and its impact in the world, with over  500 individual and corporate members around the world.  The journal Mission Studies is published twice a year. International conferences are held every 3 to 4 years.
Share our vision for a better understanding of Christian mission in different times, cultures and historical circumstances.

  The International Association for Mission Studies (IAMS) will hold its XIIth Quadrennial Conference from August 16-23, 2008 at Balatonfüred, Hungary, at the shores of Lake Balaton. Theme of this Conference is: Human Identity and the Gospel of Reconciliation. Agenda for Mission Studies and Praxis in the 21st Century.

• Call for papers. International Conference  18 -19 September 2008 University of the Free State, Bloemfontein, South Africa,  Department of Missiology, Faculty of Theology. Theme: Mission and Conversion. Submit an abstract of  not more than 400 words for 30 minutes papers and CV to Prof Pieter Verster. Email:  versterp.hum@ufs.ac.za before 15 June 2008.  Language: Afrikaans (with translation services) and English.
