Xiaoli Yang is an Australian Chinese theologian/missiologist, ordained pastor, trained spiritual director and bilingual poet, with specialties in World Christianity, intercultural theology, mission studies and spirituality. She has been involved in pastoral leadership, theological education and spiritual direction locally and abroad over the last 25 years. She holds teaching, research and supervisory roles at a few Australian universities, and has had visiting appointments at Fuller Seminary, Princeton Theological Seminary and Boston University, USA. She publishes widely, including her Ph.D monograph and an edited volume in the TMWC book series of IAMS. She currently serves on the boards of a few national and international organisations, including the Australian Association for Mission Studies (President 2022-23, Vice President 2021-22). She enjoys bushwalking and the rich artistry of different cultures.
