Prices

The prices include accomodation, breakfast, lunch, dinner and tea breaks at the conference hotel from Saturday 31st July (afternoon) until Saturday 7th July (noon). During exposure trips each participant will have to pay his or her own meals at reasonable prices.

*) Only a limited number of single occupancy rooms are be available. They will be booked on a first come first serve basis.

Those who arrive early and want to stay at the Concorde Inn in the Kuala Lumpur International Airport will pay for this separately directly to the Concorde Inn (ca. 40 USD per night including breakfast).

 

NB: IT IS NO LONGER POSSIBLE TO APPLY FOR FINANCIAL SUBSIDIES AS ALL FUNDS AVAILABLE HAVE ALREADY BEEN ALLOCATED.

Policy on Subsidies

IAMS has limited funds towards subsidies for participants in IAMS events. It is the purpose of the subsidies to see to it that a number of those who cannot fully pay their own way to the conference can receive some assistance that will enable them to attend.

In order to stretch the funds to as many applicants as possible, IAMS would normally only reimburse part of the expenses (travel, registration, room and board). It is expected that each applicant for subsidies seek to raise funds elsewhere as well in addition to what can be paid from his/her own resources.

Priority will be given to members of IAMS, who demonstrate active involvement in academic mission studies, documented by publications, etc. If you are not a member of IAMS, you are requested to apply for membership before your request for subsidies can be considered - Go to the "Apply for Membership" part of the webpage and send your online membership application form right away. Membership fee is US$ 30 per year.

When you apply for subsidies, please submit an itemized budget like this:
